Vomitting Is a Good Thing?

With unlimited marketing budgets and profit in mind, we are constantly being bombarded and programmed with messages that tell us that symptoms are bad…..if you are constipated, take a pill to make it come out faster…..if you have diahrea, take a pill to slow it down….if you are vomitting, take a pill to make it stop….if you have a fever, take a pill to reduce it….if you have a cold, take a pill get rid of the mucous…..in otherwords, whatever the body is doing to try to defend itself…..STOP IT…OVERRIDE IT!

While there is definately a time and place for medications and pills, and at times these medications can save lives… it is my opinion that pills are way over used!

Well, this belief got put to the test on New Year’s Eve, we had a health challenge in our home….find out what happened…..

Thank you for the info. I was doing the same thing New Year’s Eve! About 4:00 in the a.m. I had a bad stomach ached and threw up around 6;00. Felt very nausous all day but wanted cold water. I actually ran a low grade fever and bad muscled aches in my back. I think there must be a virus going around. I was in bed for two days, felt good on Monday, had an adjustment) but had a set back yesterday-feverish and tired. I guess I’m older and slower to rebound unlike your kids. I haven’t gone to the doc yet but contemplating it. What do you think?

    • I would say hold off on the doc and give yourself a little more time to recover. You may have been still dealing with a subclinical virus that your body was still trying to beat and then with the adjustment stimulating your nervous system/immune system, your body may be needing a little more rest to let the fever kill off the rest of the virus. I do have some supplements that may help to recover a little quicker, but you can probably handle it on your own. Call me if you have any questions or start having symptoms that are concerning you. Good luck.
