How Adjustments Control Your Health

Happy Wednesday!

So if you haven’t been keeping up with the articles, over the last two weeks we have talked about the simple daily actions that you can take in order to make “health deposits”.  In otherwords, simple actions to enhance your health each day and ad life to your days, as opposed to “health withdrawels” which rob us of our health and vitality, and ultimately our purpose in life!

So I have saved the best for last.  We have talked about nutrition, exercise, rest, and positive mental attitude.  But we have yet to talk about the master control system behind all of it….and what you can do to have a profound effect on that control system.

First, I want to remind everyone that we still have some Mother’s Day Massage gift certificates.  Swing by the office tomorrow and pick one up….only $49 for a full 50 minute massage.

Ok, so what is the master control system?  Your brain and spinal cord…also known as your Central Nervous system.

Why is it so important that it function correctly?  Because your brain “controls and coordinates the function of every cell in the human body”

For example, if your nervous system is not functioning properly, then the following could happen:

– even if you exercise, your muscles may not repair properly, your strength cant improve properly, and you could end up injured

– even if you eat a perfect diet- if your digestive tract is not funtioning properly, you will not get the full nutritional value.

– even if you get 8 hours of sleep per night- your body cant repair if the brain cant direct the healing processes properly
– even if you fill yourself with positive life affirming information for a positive mental attitude- if your nervous system is not functioning properly you may still end up depressed or stressed out.

All 5 components feed on each other.  Any weakness in any of the 5 areas will effect the other 4.  And the nervous system has controll and direct effect over all of the systems in your body.

How do you maintain your nervous system.  By getting checked at least once per month, ideally once per week.  Even if you are not doing it in our office, get checked.  Make you “health deposits” on a weekly or at least a monthly basis.  Even if you are feeling good…an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

Have a great day!
